VENUE IDEAS FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY
Booking a good venue for your child’s birthday party can really add to having a successful party.
It can be a minefield trying to find a local venue to hire but here are some alternatives to think about.
You never know, you might have one of these right on your doorstep!
Scout hall – normally really cheap as they are run by charities and are ideal for small parties, check out your local scouts to see if they hire their hall.
School hall – most schools will let you hire their hall at the weekend, just make sure there is a caretaker on site as well as amicable parking in the surrounding area.
Church halls – the most popular venue for a child’s party, they are usually reasonably priced, but not always open on religious days.
Community centres – another ideal venue for a party as they will come equipped with all you need for a party including parking, tables, chairs and sometimes a stage area.
Park cafe – not an ideal option as they may be open to the public, have lack of parking and are not always easily accessed but can be great in the Summer if it’s situated next to a playground. Just be mindful of the weather and facilities.
British Legions – there is usually one british legion in each town and they are lovely places to host a party, most have a bar with a dance floor and I have performed in many of them in Essex including Wickford, Collier Row and Rainham.
I hope that has inspired you with your venue research, don’t forget to book your children’s entertainer first and then your venue!
